SAEINDIA Club

About the Club
The SAEINDIA GLBITM COLLEGIATE CLUB was formed in Mechanical Engineering Department at G L Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, Greater Noida on 22nd April, 2014 to bring budding engineers forward to get hands-on experience and develop practical aspects of engineering among the students. This initiative has encouraged the students to get over the Industry-Academy gap and bring glory to the college in different National level student-design competition like BAJA SAEINDIA & SAENIS EFFI-CYCLE. Team Synergy Racing is the official team of SAEINDIA GLBITM COLLEGIATE CLUB and currently has 53 members working for different Motorsports projects. In Baja SAE, engineering students are tasked with designing and building a single-seat, all-terrain sporting vehicle that is to be a prototype for a reliable, maintainable, ergonomic, and economic production vehicle that serves a recreational user market. The students must function as a team to design, engineer, build, test, promote, and compete with a vehicle within the limits of the rules. Such design competitions take student beyond textbook theory by providing them with a platform to enhance technical as well as managerial skill.

Objective of Club
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) collegiate clubs play a pivotal role in shaping the educational and professional journeys of students passionate about automotive engineering. These clubs establish a multifaceted set of objectives aimed at enriching the academic experience, fostering hands-on skills, and preparing members for successful careers in the automotive industry. First and foremost, SAE collegiate clubs are dedicated to promoting education within the realm of automotive engineering. Through workshops, seminars, and guest lectures, these clubs create a dynamic learning environment that complements traditional classroom education. By providing access to industry experts and the latest advancements in automotive technology, members gain valuable insights that extend beyond textbook knowledge.
Hands-on experience is a cornerstone of SAE collegiate club objectives. Students are encouraged to participate in practical projects that involve designing, building, and modifying vehicles. In particular, engagement in SAE collegiate design competitions, such as Formula SAE and Baja SAE, offers members the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios, enhancing their problem-solving and engineering skills.
Professional development is another key focus, with SAE collegiate clubs serving as conduits for networking and career advancement. Through interactions with professionals in the automotive industry, career development events, and industry tours, students gain exposure to potential career paths and build connections that may prove instrumental in their future endeavors. Collaboration and teamwork are emphasized to simulate the interdisciplinary nature of the automotive industry. By working on group projects and participating in competitions, students learn to navigate the complexities of collaborative engineering efforts, mirroring the challenges they will face in their professional careers.
Furthermore, SAE collegiate clubs are committed to community outreach, engaging in programs that promote STEM education in local schools and communities. By showcasing the exciting and impactful aspects of automotive engineering, these clubs contribute to inspiring the next generation of engineers.
Innovation, ethics, leadership development, networking, and recognition also feature prominently in the objectives of SAE collegiate clubs. Through a holistic approach, these clubs strive to create a comprehensive and empowering experience for students, laying the foundation for successful and fulfilling careers in automotive engineering.
