Road Safety Awareness Drive

The NSS Unit of GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM), Greater Noida, in collaboration with L&T Finance Limited and TRAX S. Society, a national road safety NGO, organized a Road Safety Awareness Drive on 27th September 2024 at Knowledge Park. The primary objective of the event was to promote awareness among auto-rickshaw drivers about road safety measures and regulations.
Given the significant role that these drivers play in public transportation, ensuring their adherence to traffic norms is critical for reducing road accidents and enhancing overall public safety.
Student volunteers had interactive sessions with the auto-rickshaw drivers. These sessions covered Basic Traffic Rules and Regulations, Safe Driving Practices, Accident Prevention Techniques followed with Distribution of first aid boxes. The Road Safety Awareness Drive was a successful event, with significant participation from auto-rickshaw drivers in the Greater Noida area.
The NSS Unit of GLBITM, L&T Finance Limited and TRAX S. Society effectively collaborated to promote a much-needed culture of road safety. The participants showed keen interest in the sessions and the event concluded with positive feedback from both the drivers and organizers. Total 19 students volunteers were participated to made this drive successful.
