Symposium on AI and Multidisciplinary Research: Opportunities and Challenges
Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep Learning are highly multidisciplinary and active areas for research and development, combining computer science hardcore architectures, Communication infrastructure, cognitive sciences with potentially transformative applications in many areas of business and society.
With the aim of exploring current research opportunities and challenges to guide and motivate our budding professionals for developing Intelligent systems with broad applicability the topic of Symposium “AI and Multidisciplinary Research: Opportunities and Challenges” chosen where domain experts will mark the recent developments in the field and its wide impact in other domains.
Department of MCA, G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida organized an event “ Symposium on "AI and Multidisciplinary Research: Opportunities and Challenges" on Tuesday 20 July, 2021. This event was organized for the students as well as faculty to open up the way to find out the challenges and opportunities in research in AI and other areas . Three speakers were invited for the symposium.
Speaker 1- Dr. Sujay Deb, IIIT Delhi
Speaker 2 - Dr. MAIZATUL AKMAR BINTI ISMAIL, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia
Speaker 3 Dr. Krishan Kumar, NIT, Uttarakhand
Event started by formally welcoming the speakers by Dr. Rajeev Agarwal, Director, GLBITM.
First speaker of symposium was Dr. Sujay Deb. Sujay Deb is an Associate Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D). His topic of the talk was "AI in Heterogeneous and Many-Core SoC Architectures”. He delivered a wonderful session with lots of architecture examples.
Then symposium was followed by Dr Maizatul Akmar Ismail. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Deputy Dean (Undergraduates), University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. She talked about about the current state of the art of Recommender Systems, available techniques, issues and future direction.
Then dice was taken by Dr. Krishan Kumar. Dr. Krishan Kumar is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand, Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand, India. He talked about role of AI techniques in digital Era.
The symposium was well coordinated by Dr. Madhu S Gaur, Ms Anju Mishra and all the faculty members of MCA department.
Overall symposium was very informative for the aspirants who are looking forward in research area of Artificial Intelligence opportunities and challenges. Some movements were captured while session
