Report on Awareness Programme on the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. The GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management organized an awareness programme on the PMKVY on 9th Jan 2020.
Programme objective: To create awareness and educate the youngsters about the key feature of the scheme, which includes that the scheme offers cost-free, industry-related skills training to unemployed youth and school or college dropouts to make them fit for employment. The scheme offers valid certification and a Skill India card based on which the candidates can apply for jobs and earn a livelihood.
Awareness Sessions at Village Rampur Mazra in Gautambudha Nagar:
G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, organized an awareness camp at Village Rampur Mazra (Gautambudh Nagar) UP on 9th Jan 2020 and interacted with around 50 students and parents. Two experts were invited for presentation about the scheme.
