PARIKALP 2017
Department of Mechanical Engineering with the support of Design Engineering Club (DEC) and Design Innovation Center (DIC) has launched an annual design championship in the name of PARIKALP, in 2016. This championship aims for the development of interest in the domain of design engineering among the students, which helps in generation of skills required by the industries. We are also aiming to bridge the gap between industries and academia with the workshops and session executed by the industry persons. With the integration of technical and cultural activities (21 competitive events, 8 workshops and 5 industrial seminars), second edition of Parikalp – National Level Design Championship has been organized.
In techno-cultural event of 3 days (11-13 October 2017), Mr. Aditya Ghidyal, Senior Vice-President of Association of Greater Noida Industries had shown his presence as a chief guest for the opening ceremony of PARIKALP. During his talk with the students, he shared his experience about the opportunities available for the students in the development of skills from the era of his learning to the era of young engineers with automated technologies. Mr. Viney Kaushik, CHRO of Nuberg Engineering Ltd. shares his views and motivates future engineers in closing ceremony as Guest of Honor. Cultural events along with the technical events will not only enhance the technical skills of the students but also improve their personality. Participation of youth from technical institutions is very encouraging.
ARAT Technologies and 3Dexter acted as industries partners for the execution of workshops and seminars for the students. Mr. Alok Singh (ARAT Technologies) delivers lecture on Bridging Industry-Academia Gap and Mr. Rahul (3Dexter) executed workshop on rapid prototyping. A Group of people from Make Your World helps in execution of Android App Development Championship.
With the presence of more than 1000 students from the various colleges of Northern India, Parikalp – National Level Design Championship ended with the distribution of prizes worth 8 Lakhs.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at G. L. Bajaj institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida is taking an initiative to provide an industrial exposure to the engineering students which help them in understanding the concepts well. It will also help them in the development of innovative products. With the aim to increase designing skill of students and in association with TATA Technologies Limited (INDIA) GLBITM had established DIC for providing a quality of training to students.
