Orientation Programme 2017

An orientation programme for the B.Tech 1 st year students for the academic session 2017 – 18 was organized on 16 August,17. Director of the institute, Prof. Rajeev Agarwal welcomed the students and threw light on the importance of discipline in the students’ life and he also discussed about the upcoming trends in engineering programs. He also enumerated the various milestones achieved by the institute in the recent years and highlighted the various innovative steps taken by the institute to enhance research, placements and entrepreneurship.
Prof. R.K. Mishra, HOD- Applied Science shared a detailed list of do’s and don’ts for the first year students and told them about his expectations from the students. He elaborated on the special features of 1st year at #GLBajaj. He also highlighted the best practices and methods adopted by the institute for proficient and smooth academics as well as learning beyond classroom for the students. He also introduced new comers with the HODs of other departments.
The students were made aware of strict discipline being desired from them with no room for laxity. Various Heads further brought the Freshers up-to-date on various activities of the respective departments. The new comers were given detailed information about the scholarships, placement, hostel life and discipline, IT infra, library and sports and cultural activities.
