National Conference on Emerging Trends in Management Education
Management education plays a pivotal role in social upliftment and triggering the entrepreneurial spirit in our society. It is considered as elitist as it entices young men and women who are usually motivated by the positive consequences associated with management education.
We are extremely glad and gratified that GL Bajaj got this wonderful opportunity to congregate a National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Management Education” on 28th August 2017. The event was Inaugurated by Hon,ble Director, GL Bajaj, Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal Sir & Dean, Department of Management studies, Dr. Mukul Gupta .
Our guests for the conference were eminent personalities from the apex institution which exists in the arena of technical education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Our Chief Guest Dr. A.P Mittal, Member Secretary AICTE. Dr. A.P. Mittal has been associated as Member of Accreditation teams for accreditation of different technical institutes. He was Chairman of Admission Committee at NSIT during 2005, 2006, 2010 & 2011.
Our Guest of Honor for the day was Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Director- AICTE. Dr. Manna has published about 140 Research Publications for leading National and International Journals and has participated in Conferences of repute. He is the Editor and Reviewer for many International Referred Journals. He has been conferred with the ‘Bharat Excellence Award' and 'Gold Medal' by the Former Election Commissioner of India, ‘Best Citizens of India Award-2014’, and ‘SHRESHTH AACHARYA AWARD-2011’.
Other speakers of the conference were Mr. Sandeep Kumar,RSL, IBM, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Marwah, Director, J. K. Business School & Dr. Raj Agarwal, Director (CME), AIMA.
In India, higher education, especially management education is witnessing an exponential growth in terms of number of institutes imparting management education. Over the course of the past century, business schools have successfully established a stronger presence within academic institutions in all countries of the world. They continue to produce graduates who play critical roles in the day-to- day operations and long-term sustainability of successful businesses. Through this conference we came across numerous challenges facing the growth of management education in India and what all interventions are being planned in order to raise its status.
