ABB Robotics Excellence Centre Industrial Robotics Training Program

A three days ABB Robotics industrial training program for faculty and staff members was organised at Robotics Centre of Excellence from 8th October to 10th October 2020 with the association of ABB India Limited. 9 faculty and 2 staff members from Mechanical Engineering Department were trained in this industrial training program.
The training program was inaugurated in the morning by Dr. SS Chauhan, Professor and Head, Centre of Excellence. Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, Director emphasized the importance and application of the robotics in Automobile and other industries. He motivated faculty and staff members to involve in the robotics COE and participate in such type of training program in future.
A warm welcome was extended by Dr. Vinod Yadav, Head, Mechanical Engineering department to the guest speaker Mr. Suresh Mourya, Manager, Technical support & Training, RA Robotics, ABB India Limited. The training program was conducted in mainly two phases. Phase 1: Basic robot training for 2 days. Introduction on ABB milling robot and welding robot.
Phase 2: Training on milling software. Training on ABB Robot welding.
On the whole the FTP received a lot of positive feedback from all participants and it paved the way for participants to implement their Research Ideas in Robotics. The entire workshop was covered by video shoot and photographs.
