MBA Department G L Bajaj organised "Greater Noida Ride & Run" to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi & 115th Birth Anniversary of our 2nd prime minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri . Theme of the event was “Polythene Htao, Greater noida Bachao”. It incorporates the essence of "FIT India Movement" as well as "Ban on single use plastic".All Participants took pledge not to use "Single Use Plastic" from 2nd October onwards. Renowned personalities joined us for the event as our distinguished guests. CHIEF GUEST of the day was Hon’ble Mr. Krishna Kumar Gupta (IAS, Additional CEO Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority) GUEST OF HONOURS of the day were Ms. Babita Nagar (International wrestler), Mr.Himanshu Kumar(Amputee athlete player, Paracyclist), Ms.Sachika Ingle International Professional Squash Player,Syed Shameem Anwar (Asso. Director- Entertainment City Limited), Ms.Àmrita (National level zudo champion), Ms.Vidushi (National level Hockeyplayer), Mr.Ankur (National level Referee Athlete) We had Running in catagories like 3km, 5km, 10km, 21.1km and for Cycling 10km, 25km, 50km. The marathon commenced from the campus gate itself. Latter event was sponsored by Jaypee Hospitality, Gatorade, Hen Fruit, Yakult,Nestle & world of wonder . Various giveaways were given to participants including, T-shirts, certificates of participation and medals of accolades. The event also included various fun activities including Zumba dance, Nukkad Natak on "Say no to single use Plastics", Flash Mob and amazing students band performance
