Computer Science Department organised a Mental Health Awareness Program

The Computer Science Department organised a Mental Health Awareness Program on the occasion of World Mental Health Week. The speaker of the event was Dr Santosh Rai, Professor IEC College. The event received an overwhelming response and appreciation from the participant, students, and faculty members. Nowadays, the younger generation faces various mental health issues and these issues are not discussed openly due to the fear of being joked about and named insane. It is very necessary to normalise having and discussing such issues before it becomes unbearable. The program was an interactive session on Mental health awareness where students openly shared their problems with the counsellor and reached solutions to many problems with open discussion. The program helped many students to understand their problems better, and taught them how to tackle them and the ideal way to solve the problems.
